Kintsugi necklace

Kintsugi necklace

This necklace is inspired by Kintsugi: the ancient Japanese technique that enhances cracks and fractures in ceramic objects by repairing them with gold.

On a symbolic level, Kintsugi is for me the ability of human beings to recompose their “fractures” in a creative and artistic way.

This jewelry was handcrafted in 925 silver and 18 kt gold by Magal in the artistic goldsmith workshop in Vicenza.

This necklace consists of a central triangular piece, side silver nuggets and clasp on the back.

Each necklace is unique and unrepeatable, the handwork and the randomness of how the fracture occurs make it similar, but never the same as another.

The photo corresponds to the necklace in stock.

Size of center piece: 7.2x2.5 cm, total length 45 cm.
